    If you don't know the D18, you are in for a surprise. So different than the Gibson hogs. Crosby's first expensive guitar was a D18.

    Y'all, I know I sound like a broken record; every time somebody mentions one of the post-2012 D18s I always chime in. But these really are some fine guitars. Martin hit a home run with this redesign and made a great guitar even better. This is the biggest bang for your buck on a newer Martin, in my opinion. If I didn't already have one I'd be posting about an NGD right now.

    And having owned this one a while back, I'll chime in that this particular D-18 is a really good guitar. It has great projection and stands up really well against banjo/mandolin in jamming circles. It also received many compliments on its tone.
